Year 7 Excels at State da Vinci Decathlon

The Year 7 da Vinci Decathlon team excelled as the regional representatives (Bathurst to Dubbo) at the State finals at Knox on Tuesday 25 July.
Gabriella Reid, Larissa Elder, Verity Smith, Samuel Chandler, Harry Chapman, Adam Pendlebury, Sam Ray and Ibrahim Ridha, Year 7, placed third in Science and third in Cartography and came seventh overall!
The day before our students toured the Powerhouse Museum and participated in a bespoke Coding course with Museum staff. They coded instructions to turn lights on and off and graduated to coding interactive games that others could play online. Museum staff noted that they exceeded what had been planned for the session with their quick grasp and application of concepts.
