Year 3 Zoo Snooze

Our Year 3 students recently went to Taronga Western Plains Zoo for the annual Zoo Snooze.

After being assigned tents, the students settled in and waited for the dinner gong before a night tour of the Australian animals.

On Friday they went on an early morning walk with a guide then packed up the tents and caught the bus to the front of the zoo. A walk around the entire zoo to see a lot of different animals concluded the excursion.

Highlights included the keeper talk at the cheetahs, having a chat to the rhino keeper and asking questions, discovering some lions who were close to the fence and the Mongolian area where our students learned about the efforts by Taronga Zoo to save the Przewalski’s Horse.
