Success at the Sydney Royal Easter Show

Our Macquarie Livestock Show Team had a wonderful time at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
During their time at the show, our team members were responsible for the care and exhibition of ten head of cattle and took part in the Grand Parade, Shorthorn Breed Classes, the Heifer Fitting Challenge, the NSW Beef Cattle Paraders State Final and Beef Cattle Young Judges State Final, and the RAS Youth Show.
Some highlights for the team included:
- We had seven Macquarie students in the Paraders State Finals.
- In the fun, fast-paced Heifer Fitting Challenge, all team members were able to make it into the ring with their animal cleaned and haltered, in under five minutes.
- In the Beef Cattle Young Judges State Finals, Jack Taylor, Year 10, representing Western Zone, was one of 24 competitors in the State Final. He went on to be selected as one of the 12 finalists who were asked to give comments in the judging.
- Our team members achieved fantastic results in the RAS Youth Show with Hugh Mitchell, Year 10, being awarded Reserve Champion Junior Judge.
