In Week 7, Macquarie was delighted to host the WAS Athletics Carnival in Dubbo at Barden Park.

Orange Anglican Grammar School, Kinross Wolaroi and St Stanislaus' College attended this carnival to compete with our students. All students did extremely well and should be very proud of their efforts on the day.

There were a number of records broken on the day including four by Macquarie students! Congratulations to:

All students who competed did extremely well in their events and should be proud of their efforts. There were 70 schools at the AICES Carnival, and Macquarie came ninth overall, which is very impressive and a credit to those students who competed.

We also had some impressive individual results. Georgia Cudmore received 17 Years Girls Age Champion at the AICES Carnival. She competed in seven events on the day and qualified for CIS in four of her events. She will be competing in the 17 Years Discus, High Jump, 200m and 400m.

Ashton Green competed in eight events and qualified for CIS in three of his events. He will be competing in the 100m, 200m and 400m, congratulations Ashton. In the 13 Years Boys, Ashton came second in the overall point score.
