Our Macquarie’s Got Talent showcase event was such a wonderful night!
It was an opportunity for our students to shine their light and share their many gifts and talents. The Performing Arts encourages students to explore their emotions, expand their imaginations and helps them develop their own, unique voice – and what a beautiful collective voice they have!
Our students wowed the four judges on Wednesday 7 September with vocals, music and drama performances, solo and group dance routines, magic tricks, comedy acts and gymnastic and acrobatic demonstrations. Each and every act was outstanding and made us incredibly proud. We had more than 90 students audition from both the Junior and Senior Schools, 25 outstanding performances in the final show and an incredible nearly 300 people in our audience.
A huge congratulations must go to our Macquarie’s Got Talent committee: Miss Abbey Spencer, Miss Claudia McLennan, Mrs Kelly Munge, Mrs Cassandra Doyle, Mrs Vanessa Price, Mrs Michelle Heggie, Mrs Jodie Barber and Mrs Sandra Davis. Our students are blessed to work with a passionate team of staff here at Macquarie, along with music teachers, drama coaches, dance instructors and of course parents and friends.
