Tuesday 15 February saw the Junior School and Senior School combine for the first time to host a competitive swimming carnival.

This day saw students from Year 2 all the way to Year 12 compete across 110 individual events. Flynn was fortunate to hold the lead in the House Championship for the most part, however was beaten by Dunlop in the dying moments. Dunlop finished first with 2,012 points, second place went to Flynn on 1,963, Cuthbert clinched third with 1,775 whilst Chisholm rounded out the point score with 1,595.

Throughout the day the students cheered and supported each other with many of our Senior School students encouraging our Year 2 students as they competed in their first swimming carnival. Of our 110 events, 12 records were broken with Gigi Windeyer breaking an 18-year-old Backstroke record whilst Brody Steele also broke a Backstroke record that had been in place since 2006. Molly Quilty and Hugh McAnally were also successful on the day with Molly breaking her Individual Medley record from 2021. Hugh broke records for the 11 Years Boys 50m Butterfly and Freestyle.

I would like to congratulate all those who competed on the day and express my gratitude to all of the parents who took the day off work to come and support out school carnival, without you the carnival would not have run.
