Junior and Senior School students represented Macquarie at the Western Plains Engineering Challenge Days during the final week of Term 1 and did us proud with outstanding attitudes and behaviour with everyone having heaps of fun!

Students took part in various activities including building structures that could withstand earthquakes, communicating through code, solving network problems, building a mars rover, building a turbine, making a mechanic hand and building a bridge.

Two of our Senior School groups were overall winners of their categories: Gracie Harland and Molly Duffy won the turbine challenge, and Tom Roth and Samuel Brown won the stringaway network building challenge.

To top this off, Macquarie was announced as the overall winners of the day in both the High School and Primary School competitions! All other Dubbo schools as well as Mudgee were represented. Congratulations to our incredible Science & Engineering Challenge teams on your success!
