Our Beliefs
We believe the God who made all things has demonstrated his love and commitment to all people in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All of us, inside and outside of the churches, have lived for ourselves (that’s why the Bible calls us all sinners).
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23.
Yet God has made forgiveness and a fresh relationship with him available to all people who will turn to Jesus in faith and as a result live according to his word.
“But God who is rich in mercy … made us alive together with Christ. By grace you have been saved.” – Ephesians 2:4-5.
This is the central teaching of the Christian faith.

Our Christian Framework

Our Christian Framework connects our beliefs to the kind of community we strive to be at Macquarie. Developed with input from across the school, it brings our motto "Faith in Action" to life. The inner circle reflects our core Christian beliefs, while the outer circle highlights the actions we aim to teach and inspire. At its heart is the belief that God’s love and forgiveness are available to all who trust in Him – and that Christians are called to respond with repentance, love, and good deeds.
- God CREATED a good world, and all people are made in the image of God.
- People, however, have REBELLED against God. The Bible calls this sin.
- Through Jesus’ death on the cross, he RESCUED us from sin and death.
- People who put their trust in Jesus are called to FOLLOW his teachings and his ways.

A Ministry Shaped by Our Community
Through consultation with student leaders, parents, teachers, School Executive, School Council, and local ministers, we’ve defined three key aims for each ministry area. This ensures a clear direction while allowing flexibility in how ministry is lived out in daily school life.
Christian Development classes, chapel services, and Christian groups are central to our Bible teaching. However, our vision extends beyond structured programs – we aim to integrate faith into every aspect of student life. From classrooms to camps, we are committed to growing a culture of evangelism and discipleship that shapes hearts and minds.
