Education is more than just an “academic pursuit”. At Macquarie, we believe that a quality education should provide a rich tapestry of experiences that maximizes each student’s potential and enhances their enjoyment of school. To that end, our co-curricular program seeks to develop and extend students in ways that are not possible in the “academic curriculum”.
The Macquarie Senior School co-curricular program provides opportunities for teachers, parents and students to work co-operatively in an enjoyable context that is very different to the normal classroom; thus providing an important means of building relationships and providing pastoral care.
Whether it is involvement in a Sporting Team, The Duke of Edinburgh Award, the Performing Arts, or a Community Service Event, the co-curricular program adds an exciting and challenging depth and breadth to the total educational experience being offered by the school.
