UNSW students conduct hearing tests and Teddy Bear Hospitel

28 June 2017

On Monday 26 June a group of 20 4th year Medical students visited from the University of New South Wales. The students were able to perform otoscopies (looking at a students eardrum using a special torch) with targeted students and check the students' hearing levels using an automated audiometer. It was an extremely busy day and we were very thankful for their services.

As part of their visit the medical students provided a ‘Teddy Bear Hospital’ for students in Prep and Kindergarten. Students looked at organs and bones in their bodies, whats in a doctors bag as well as other interesting things. Students were able to have their teddies checked by the medical students and all teddies were given a healthy report.

We would like to thank the Hear our Hearts Ear Bus project committee for their organisation of this event and the group of visiting medical students for their services.
