Monday 6 February midnight – deadline for scholarships

Each year Macquarie offers a number of Academic and/or Performing Arts Scholarships. To apply for these scholarships students must sit the ACER Cooperative Scholarship exam. The closing date for registration for this program is midnight Monday 6th February with the exam to be sat on Saturday 25th February 2017. The link below will take you to the website where you may register. The cost of sitting the exam is $95.

Macquarie students excel in HSC

The Headmaster and staff of Macquarie Anglican Grammar School are extending their deepest congratulations to the Higher School Certificate class of 2016.

The students have achieved in the highest possible band across a range of subjects including Mathematics, Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, Biology, Chemistry, English Extension 1, Modern History and Ancient History.

 “We are immensely proud of all our Year 12 students and very pleased with the considerable positive growth in our results,” said Mr Craig Mansour, Headmaster of Macquarie Anglican Grammar School.

New Macquarie/Neighbourhood partnership to benefit parents

Macquarie Anglican Grammar School is excited to announce a new partnership with Dubbo Neighbourhood Centre. From 2017, through this partnership, Macquarie will be able to offer before and after school care on site.

“We are happy to announce this new partnership which will mean greater flexibility for working parents and carers,” said Mr Craig Mansour, Headmaster of Macquarie Anglican Grammar School.

Macquarie Anglican Grammar netballers represent Australia

Three students from Macquarie Anglican Grammar School are currently playing netball for Australia on a tour of the UK and Europe. Phoebe Jones, Kate Parkes and Grace Bowen are playing for the Wanderers and travelling with girls from all over Australia.

The teams departed on 3 January and have so far played games against clubs and schools in London, Cambridge and Essex and the Cheshire County Representative squads. The tour has included a game against one of the top netball schools in England, Bristol Grammar School. The group were special guests at the Bolton Wanderers Football Club in Cheshire.
