What a year 2018 has been! There have been too many achievements, both as a school and by individuals, to list them all here, but Presentation Day was certainly a fitting tribute and celebration to the year that has been.

With a year like the one we have had, it is impossible not to be excited for the challenges, opportunities and successes to come.

The last couple of weeks have been a joy to be a part of. From the Macquarie Christmas Concert, to the K-2 Celebration assembly and Celebration Day, there has been something or someone to celebrate at every turn.

Thank you to the students of the Junior School for what has been an amazing year, your efforts, whether recognised on stage or not, have not gone unnoticed. I have been extremely proud to see you all achieving personal goals this year. To our supportive Macquarie families, thank you also. The achievements of your children and the ever-growing sense of community at our school is thanks to you. Finally, to the staff of Macquarie, thank you for going above and beyond each and every day.

Reports and class placements for 2019 will be sent to Junior School families in the coming days.

Please enjoy a happy and holy Christmas season and I look forward to what is sure to be a fantastic 2019.

Mr Tim Chalmers
