The Junior and Senior Schools are busy rehearsing for our upcoming CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts) Night which will be held on Thursday 26 October (Week 3 Term 4). The event will include music, drama and performance pieces along with the inaugural P&F Art Auction of student work for each stage. Please save the date, get involved and make sure you come along to support our school community for the CAPA Night.

EOIs sought for a Macquarie sustainability committee

Macquarie Anglican Grammar School is looking to establish a committee of like-minded people to work towards making our school community one that can be sustainable. This encompasses all aspects including exploring possibilities of water, energy and plant sustainability. Mrs Sandra Davis will lead this committee with the aim of working in conjunction with the school's leadership team, Headmaster and staff to establish and maintain healthy, sustainable garden beds and surroundings for the education and enjoyment of the whole school community.

HSC Art has been sent to Sydney for marking. Congratulations to HSC Visual Arts students Lachlan McLeod and Amy Watterson. A copy of the works will be on display at the CAPA Night on Thursday 26 October.
Well done also to Year 11 for completing their final body of work and starting the HSC journey.

During our Week 7 Junior School Assembly, Stage 3 White presented a wonderful video about their adventures on the Stage 3 Canberra Excursion.

Year 8 Art students visit the Western Plains Cultural Centre

In Week 6 Year 8 students visited the Western Plains Cultural Centre to see some amazing works on loan from the Gallery of NSW. Some of the works in the “shaded’ exhibition were over 200 years old.
Year 8 will be looking more closely at landscape paintings and the rules of perspective in Term 4.
