Art students' Vivid experience

On 15 and 16 June, the Ceramics IBE class and Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts students travelled to Sydney to see The Vivid Exhibition.

If you haven't heard of Vivid, it is an amazing display of  light, music and creative ideas. Vivid is a free public art exhibition to cater to all of the Sydney community and beyond. The lights are projected onto the urban landscape and transform Sydney into a wonderland of light, innovative light installations all on a grand-scale for all to enjoy.

Orange Regional Futsal Championships

Orange Regional Futsal Championships

The Senior School lunchtime Futsal House Competition of Term 1 was a huge success. As a result, teams to represent Macquarie Anglican Grammar School at the Regional Futsal Championships were selected. They trained for most of this term in the lead up to the championships held on Thursday 15 June at the Orange PCYC.

Peer Support

Peer Support

Peer Support has been a great success in Term 2 and will continue in Term 3. The students have learnt a lot during their sessions.

Session 1:

Peer Support lessons commenced this week. The whole of Junior School participates in Peer Support for 30 minutes each session. Year 6 Peer Leaders facilitate a small group of 8-10 students from Kindergarten to Year 5, who work together through a number of structured activities. Each teacher supervises 2-3 groups in their classroom.

Piano students perform in Eisteddfod

Piano students perform in Eisteddfod

Lana Barclay, Erin Barclay, Thomas Peacock and Annabelle Fuller participated in the piano section of this years City of Dubbo Eisteddfod. Each student gave a very enjoyable performance of their AMEB Grade work and a received a range of awards for their efforts.
